TORC Heads to Texas Motor Speedway for Series Debut

Crandon, WI (May 4, 2009)-The Traxxas TORC Series track crew is working hard at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track, building the scene for what will be the star-studded 2009 season kick-off on May 15 and 16. The crews from MediaX Productions (of X Games fame) are making all their last-minute preparations to create some great TV for a major sports network that will be named later this week.

TORC Officials are putting the finishing touches on a season-long television package with multiple networks, that while late coming together, will exceed expectations. "We think our TV package and production will be second to none," stated series owner and competitor, Ricky Johnson. "We are going to deliver the type show that the sponsors, fans and drivers asked for, with shows airing shortly after the events and on major broadcast outlets."

The production team, led by industry veterans Pam Miller and Paul Taublieb, is going showcase the strong talent field in the series with a new breath of fresh air. "We want to appeal not only the faithful army of off-road enthusiasts but to the youthful action sports market that our country has grown to love," stated executive producer Taublieb. "The athletes at top of this sport like we have in TORC are really a great cross between traditional motorsports and X Games-type athletes. I can't wait to get this Texas show on camera and out to the world."

The festivities begin at 8:00 p.m. Thursday night at City Streets in Fort Worth, with a Red Bull kick-off party. TORC then moves to TMS Friday at noon for Media Day, shortly followed by the start of what will be an action-packed weekend. Fans can look forward to not only lots of fender banging truck racing; there will also be high-flying freestyle motocross action with the Red Bull TNT team.
