TORC to Visit Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House

Corona, CA (September 21, 2009)—Sponsors, drivers, and teams from the Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL will be spending the afternoon at the Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House this Wednesday from 10am to 12pm.

"This is a chance for all involved with TORC to give back to the community," stated Brian Robertson of Kumho Tires. "We want to visit with the kids and their families and let them spend the day doing something exciting-without worrying about their illnesses. TORC sponsors and race teams have really come together to donate many items for the kids and their families and we couldn't be happier about this event."

A Ronald McDonald House is a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children who have had to travel to receive treatment at children's hospitals in the United States and other countries. The first House opened in October 1974 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since that time, the Ronald McDonald House program has expanded across the U.S. and around the world. Each Ronald McDonald House offers all the comforts of home-private guest rooms and bathrooms, communal kitchen and dining areas, laundry facilities, play rooms, playgrounds, TV and computer areas, and more!

The Loma Linda Ronald McDonald house is located at 11365 Anderson Street in Loma Linda, CA.
